Metal Cutting Mechanics at punker manufacture components for fan wheels on CNC lathes, milling and grinding machines.

- You manufacture components for fan wheels such as hubs.
- You work with CNC lathes, milling and grinding machines and check whether dimensions and surface quality are correct.
- In case of malfunctions, you look for the reason and eliminate the problem.
- You will help with regular inspection and maintenance of the machines.

This is how the training is structured
Training time: 3 years regular, shortenable to 3 years
School: 1-2 days/week 1st-4th vocational training year in Kiel
Testing:
- Final exam part 1 after 1½ years (written/practical, counts 40% in the final grade)
- Final examination part 2 after 3½ years (written/practical company-related project)
