Centrifugal Fan

« Back to Glossary Index

The centrifugal fan has a moving component – called impeller or fan wheel – that consists of a central shaft about which a set of blades is positioned. The flow line runs in a radial direction, perpendicularly to the axis, through the wheel. Centrifugal Fans are used with backward-curved impellers, forward-curved impellers, or radial impellers.
