punker wins renowned Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Award

punker wins MX Award as “Best SME” (c) MX Award

Eckernförde, 09. November 2018. punker GmbH from Eckernförde in Schleswig-Holstein was awarded the Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Award 2018 in the category of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on November 9, 2018 at a conference of the Manufacturing Excellence Network under the topic “Create the Digital Change together” in the Berlin Water Tower. punker was able to assert itself against strong competitors from all over Germany and convince particularly in the evaluation categories product innovation, information technology as well as management culture/employee integration.

„Winning the MX Award – at the first attempt – is an achievement for the entire punker team,” says Dr. Henning Bähren, Managing Director of punker.

punker took part in the MX Award to find out where the company, after more than 5 years of change in the direction of lean&smart, stands in the benchmark with top industrial companies in Germany and, above all, in which business areas there is further potential for improvement. The detailed feedback of the jury showed potentials and gave valuable hints on how e.g. the production control on site on the shop floor can be made more transparent and thus more efficient.
