A European developer and manufacturer of technologically sophisticated heating, hot water and air conditioning solutions approached punker with the task of developing and supplying a new and optimized blower unit for an existing hall ventilation system within just three months. The punker solution included a conversion from forward to backward curved fan wheels, a custom laser-welded housing and the supply of complete fan units that provide a significant increase in energy efficiency and a substantial reduction in sound pressure.
Analysis, Optimization, Assembly, Logistics in UV Printing Technology
To a leading developer and manufacturer of energy-efficient UV curing systems for printing, painting and industrial plants, punker supplies complete units consisting of fan wheel, housing, motor and electrical connections. This was preceded by comprehensive measurements of the customer's existing units in the punker laboratory and subsequent optimization to meet the energy efficiency requirements of Directive 2009/125/EC (EU Ecodesign Framework Directive - ErP) for the system. The system efficiency was increased by up to 14%, noise emissions were reduced by up to 2 dB, and deliveries were made directly to the company's production hall according to the pull principle.
Assembly in bakery systems
The customer consulted punker in 2013 regarding imbalances occurring in the circulation units used in rack ovens. For a comprehensive analysis of the blower units, the customer provided punker with all the components of the oven's blowers. After a sampling phase at punker, the imbalances could be eliminated. In order to relieve the customer's capacities, the production of the motor plate, the procurement of the motors and the assembly of the blower units are now carried out at punker.
Since then, punker has been responsible for the assembly of 700 blower units per year and the procurement of the required motors for the customer. In this way, the customer was able to significantly increase the reliability of its system.
