The author of the standard is the Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc. (AMCA), another international organization that defines the framework for fan performance measurement and certifies fans.
The requirements of AMCA 210 are generally quite similar to ISO 5801, as some regulations reference ISO 5801. On the other hand, the requirements of AMCA 210 are also included in ISO 5801. In general, it can be said that AMCA test benches are more accepted in American and Asian areas, whereas test benches according to ISO 5801 are more accepted in European areas.
