11.1. Work of EVIA

The European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA) was founded in Brussels in July 2010. As a community of interest for the European ventilation industry, EVIA currently represents 45 member companies and 6 national associations across Europe, with a combined turnover of more than €7 billion in 2020 and employing more than 45,000 people.

EVIA aims to serve as a platform and contact point between all relevant European stakeholders of the ventilation industry e.g. European decision makers and authorities, scientists, industry and other relevant organizations. EVIA aims to promote highly energy efficient ventilation applications in combination with a high level of health and comfort aspects throughout Europe, as well as to contribute to the harmonization of national and international standards.

In the current 6 working groups (Fans, Non-Residential, Residential, Ventilation 2030, National Associations Liaison, Connectivity) as well as further topic-related project groups (Taskforce: Circular Economy & Sustainability, Indoor Air Quality, System Efficiency etc.), important topics from the ventilation industry are currently being dealt with. EVIA advises and supports legislators in the adoption of new laws and guidelines.
