6.3.1. Speed Test and Cycle Stability

The punker standard fan impellers are tested experimentally for the speed and cycle stability required for your application. In this way, punker can provide its customers with indications of the service life and maximum speed of the fan impellers. The tests are carried out on punker's own test benches, which have been developed according to theory and empirical data. The tests are supervised and evaluated by our specialist staff. Standard industry and sector reference values are used as limit values for the validation of the test results.

The strength analysis process at punker is also supported by a numerical simulation/calculation in the form of a finite element analysis (FEA). This provides insights into the deformation and stress curves of the impeller under the assumed operating conditions.

Despite the large number of tests and calculations that punker carries out, customer tests within the system are unavoidable, as the tests are usually carried out under laboratory conditions. We therefore encourage all our customers to test our impeller solution independently under real-time conditions before series production starts.
