3.6.1. Centrifugal Fan with Free Discharge

The dynamic pressure p_{d2} is related to the discharge cross-section A_2 (cf. Figure 3.6.1.), i.e. there are no impact losses in the characteristics.

Note for practice: In the case of free discharge into a large space, the dynamic pressure p_{d2} is to be fully applied as a loss. It is not usable.
