Industrial mechanics work at punker in all areas of production, for example on welding robots, laser cutting systems, large presses and automatic assembly machines, as well as in the research & development laboratory.
punker is the right place for you if you like the following tasks:
- You build fixtures or entire production lines, install and connect them according to plan, and put them into operation and get approval from quality control.
- You manufacture components.
- If your focus is on production technology, you set up and convert machines.
- You help with the maintenance and repair of operating equipment and technical systems.
- You determine the causes of breakdowns and replace defective components or wearing parts, for example.

This is how the training is structured
Training time: 3 years regular, shortenable to 3 years
School: 1 - 2 days / week 1st - 4th training year in Rendsburg
Exam:
- Final exam part 1 after 1½ years (written/practical, counts 40% in the final grade)
- Final examination part 2 after 3½ years (written/practical company-related project)
